It’s almost conference time…
Welcome back this year …
We’re excited … because this year’s Healthcare Internet Conference has the strongest case studies we have ever been able to offer. In fact, we have two general sessions that each will feature a best-in-class site: NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and Medical University of South Carolina. The two sites are very different in design, but similar in their use of new media and in their results … and both are award winning sites.
We have a broad set of concurrent sessions – 28 in all. The organizations and topics that will be covered offer a wide range of Internet opportunities and issues. Some examples:
- Ten Things We Did This Year Under $1,000 – Cooper University Hospital
- Is Your “Find A Doctor” Everything It Can Be? – Children’s Memorial Hospital
- Taxonomy Mapping: How to Group a Large Taxonomy Into A Usable Content Mapping System – OSF Healthcare System
- Marketing Through Social Networks – Shel Holtz
- Real Time Usability Testing – Henry Ford Health System
- Building a Useful Mobile Site – Scripps Health
- Persuasive Architecture and Its Impact – Children’s Mercy Hospitals and Clinics
- Government Impact on eHealth – Shands HealthCare
- Connecting AdWords to Analytics – Advocate Health Care
… and the above only represent one-third of the case studies being presented. How fitting that the educational program is growing stronger because your Web sites are getting better.
Each year, we try to take the feedback you give us on these meetings and make improvements. Just one example, this year for Orlando we were able to get the Omni Hotel to waive the fee for in-room high speed Internet access, provide free access to the health club and provide even more amenities.
And then there is Disney and Florida in November … a perfect time to relax, bring your family, take time to golf and, of course, talk about the election results.
Yep, participate in sessions, but also visit the health club and get those political advertisements and speeches worked out of your system.
